Could the neck be birds eye maple? One of my Legacy necks looks very similar. Has the bits of birds eye in it.

The body looks like one of my other Legacy bodies. Mine is Alder.

I'm guessing... and have been wrong plenty of times :cute467:

The neck is hard maple (as are all G&L necks), with a very nice birds-eye grain. I'm guessing the body to be alder, which has been standard under opaque finishes for about twenty years. There's always a possibility the original owner ordered it with ash. It's hard to tell from those photos.

thanks guy's , just trying to get the registry correct ,I had the wood right as Alder but I was off by a few years ...lol... I was told it was a 06 or 07 , but 2000 it is :) ... thats why it bothered me my new SC 2 had no dates at all and my new Legacy just has a date decal for body and neck but both are pasted on the neck with nothing on the body
