With a truly talented Vocalist, and making headway doing so, despite the vast number of
what I consider soul-less junk being presented to the listening public: Justin Bieber, "The Wanted", and any number of thug rappers, etc.

well, now it's upside down, of course it looks different. i like some of the rappers like too $hort, willie d, mac 10 etc. don't care for the talent free crowd of bieber, diddy, kanye, etc.

(Some) rap is cool, The Roots integrate it real well, there are several rappers who bring it that I've heard but not remembered-Mainly because our repertoire is geared towards Vocal/Instrumental artists such as Joss Stone, Shemekia Copeland,
The Isleys, The Neville Bros.. The Meters, etc. etc.

Whatever floats a boat is fine with me, but sometimes with the YouTube, VH1, American Idol, and "The Voice" blitz's, I need to remind myself-FORWARD!
