Invader neck profile ?

Post by Forest36 »

Hi there !

I'm pretty interested to the Invader models especially the XL. The only thing is that they don't give any information about the neck
profile since there is no neck profile option available. Ive read somewhere that they have the n#3 neck (wide c) but i'm not sure about that. Because it's hard for me to try one, can someone tell me how's the neck profile , is it slim compared to other g&L necks or beefier than most super start neck ( think wizard II or jackson profile)

Regards

Gabriel

Hello Gabriel,

See the G&L Guitar Options page. The neck options section of this page provides
sizing details so that you can compare each neck size to one another.

The Invader models only come with the #3 (G&L Wide "C") neck.

Hope this helps.

The #3 neck is a nice C shape, little to no shoulders and fairly chunky by most peoples standards. I find it to be a fantastic neck, a bit thicker than say a PRS pattern neck, but slightly rounder, less V shaped. It is much thicker than a music man petrucci neck, for a 3rd point of reference, the petrucci is more of a D shape, and has some shoulder to it. The carve is similar to a Carvin but beefier, and with less shoulder overall.

Hopefully with those points of reference you can pull at least something useful for information. This places it as a bit beefier than most super strat necks.
