Looks like it is a special order all mahogany in trans red. Local shop had it and there is not a scratch on the thing. A few quick shots -just got it home.

I'm stoked!

I think that is one of the S-500 Mahogany Special Build instruments that the factory did in 2004. They did less than 25 of them.
IIRCC, the factory was starting to integrate the CNC machine into production and they did several models in
Mahogany as a final test of sorts. See Production List of G&L Instruments (USA).
