Leo Era ASAT's MFD

Post by supereiv »

Hi y'all,
I've used the search function about this but I can't find what I'm looking for.
I'm sure that I've readen on the G&LDP something about the pickups of leo era ASAT (special) being different than today's.

Could someone point me toward this, or even describe me what's the difference tonewise between Leo era ASAT and current production ASAT special ?

I'm seriously considering one of the 1986/1987 ASAT on Buffalo Bros site, so I'm looking for good advices (as usual) from my fellow G&LDPers.
Because (as usual) I can't try before I buy.

thanks gentlemen.

I checked the G&L Knowledgebase:

pre-BBE ASAT vs. '07 ASAT Special: Differences?

List of pickups used in G&L guitars

Hope this helps.
