Hi all,
I currently have a bluesboy & asat deluxe.. Looking at either a s500 or Comanche ?
Suggestions please.

I also have:
76 tele custom
87 335
97 strat

The bluesboy is my favorite . Thanks again. I am mostly playing Chicago blues.

Check this post in our G&L Knowledgebase; Comanches For Dummies Redux by BoogieBill, and it applies to both guitars.
Then find a local G&L dealer with both the S-500 and Comanche and try them each. Also check out the Semi-Hollow version of each
if the dealer has them in stock. The other option for these models are the latest Tribute versions which have Mahogany bodies.
You should then be able to choose the right one for you.

I think you should also check out a Legacy Special. If you've ever wanted a thicker PAF-ish tone from your strat...the Legacy Special is a good way to go. The S-500 has an aggressive tone that is great for blues. The Comanche is not quite as aggressive, but benefits from dead quiet pickups. Throw away your expectations of what a strat should sound like and create your signature tone with this guitar. The LS is also humbucking, with smooth tones that work well for blues, hard rock, and fusion. Through my Mesa amps, I can get such great woman tones that would make Santana junk his PRS guitars. And using the PTB controls can get you close to vintage single-coil tone as well.

I use all four models and I love them all.

i think the comanche is the most versatile, and lets you be in control f your tone, instead of having the guitar control your sound. bill is right, you make your signature tone with the comanche, and it has the least humbucking sounding pups that are still noiseless.
