Did this guitar come from Guitar Center by any chance? They had an early F-100 with a very similar grain pattern on their vintage site, until yesterday or the day before. Just curious.

Yes it's the same one, great condition. I don't like guitar center one bit, but was in the one by my house the other night because there was nowhere else to buy strings at 8 in the evenig. I saw it on the wall and took it home with me.

When I saw it on their site I didn't get excited. Your picture of it changed my mind. That is a very nice looking guitar. I'm usually not a fan of clear gloss finishes, but they can look really good on an F-100.

Where can I find replacement knobs like that?
An old F-100 Series II. The wooden glossy one.
An old SB-1. The sunburst one.

They haven't been used on G&Ls since the early 80s, so you may need to source them used. You could also try ESI, which makes replacement parts for old G&Ls. You can find their URL on the Links page on this site.
