Satin Frost top coat?

Post by grokostimpy »

I just noticed in the description here that G&L has something called "Satin Frost top coat", I hadn't seen that as an option before:

Anyone ever seen this Satin Frost top-coat in real life before?

I wonder what it would look like on a 2-tone burst, probably pretty cool!

thanks

I reckon two-tone burst satin would look good too. I've not seen one in person but I know that THESE Reverend guitars have a satin finish on the body. Looks pretty damn good to me.

When they introduced the satin frost finishes they showed it on metallic finishes (Margarita Frost and Graphite), which IMO, should shine - ie. full gloss. I reckon satin frost would look fantastic on the more "vintage" colours like Himalayan Blue, Fullerton Red, Vintage White etc. But, having not seen them in person, thats just conjecture.

The Satin Frost finish option was first introduced in 2011. It is available for on all Standard finishes except Pearl White.

Hope this helps.
