The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

I saw a posting about an MJ bass on FB...2 single coils with an adjacent coil on each for hum cancelling.
It sounds like they spent some time dialing that one in .
I can't wait to see what the G&L chefs have been cooking up with six skinny strings.
Whoever is in charge over at G&L really needs to get on the ball. This is the third day of NAMM and I have been unable to find any info about what new products they are showing. Nothing on Youtube. Nothing here. Nothing on all the gear forums I frequent. Nothing on their own official website. I know they don't have the same marketing power as Fender or Gibson but can't they at least inform their small niche fanbase? And while they are at it, change the website. It's so outdated and the pictures of their guitars look so unflattering.
This is all I've read from PG:

G&L introduced the new MJ-4 active bass at the 2013 NAMM show. The MJ-4 features G&L’s new bi-coil alnico 5 pickups and MJ-spec preamp/control system, which provides a very wide range of singlecoil tones—from classic jazz to well beyond—all without the dreaded singlecoil hum.
Strangely enough, even though it is hard to find any info, there is still 'The Buzz' going around. And sometimes that's what PR is all about: creating anticipation.
I would say G&L is very much on the ball in their own modest and quirky way. Instead of flooding the market in excess with flyers, campaigns, vids, and what not, they due it by deprivation and in minimalist fashion. Lets see where this experiment ends ...
I saw a photo of the G&L booth posted on FB and I could see a Superhawk hanging on the wall. It was Ivory and looked like it has Jerry Cantrell's signature on the headstock. Couldn't tell if it had a Kahler or fixed bridge. I've been excited about the possibility of the return of the Superhawk for a while now!
