My First G&L!!!
I am proud to present my first G&L bass, a beautiful USA-made L-2500 with amazing quilted maple cap in Honey (I think) finish. CLF53604

It's easy to put the pictures right here, just double click "IMG code" on the right side, and then paste here, done. For example:

That quilted top is beautiful and I believe it is a Natural Finish. -- Darwin

Great looking bass. If I may, as a guitar only never having played bass player, why with all the real estate on the body isn't the neck pickup closer to the neck?

Again, thanks for all the compliments, I feel very fortunate to have acquired this. Regarding the PU locations, I guess that Leo found those to be the "sweet spot".

It's definitely a sweet spot. That placement goes all the way back to the L-1000 in 1980. It gives maximum thunder. AFIK, the only G&L models that didn't have a pickup right about there are the Climax and L-1500, which are more like a Musicman layout. If I have time tomorrow night I will check that on some of my basses.okbassplayerguy wrote: Regarding the PU locations, I guess that Leo found those to be the "sweet spot".
