Help! was sold 2010 instead of 2012 ASAT Accept box?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Help! was sold 2010 instead of 2012 ASAT Accept box?

Post by cigblues9 »

Craig said that my ASAT has to have been made before April 2010, since that is when the move to tolex cases happened. Mine will arrive today with a molded case. That's long tome to be just sitting in a warehouse, but it is an ASAT special hollow body with a tinted maple neck at a decent price.

Cig, I would first look at the guitar and if it looks perfect and plays well you are a winner. I prefer some things about the 2010 and pre models. It will most likely have the waterslide serial number which I prefer (I have both) and not the microwave plate. The only other difference would be the case. I have mixed feelings about that also as some of the new cases fit almost too tight. I do not store the guitars in the cases and they would probably fit looser if I did. If it is a sweet guitar you are the winner. Only my opinion.-- Darwin

+1. I wouldn't get hung up over the year, as long as it's in the condition advertised.
