Classic S solid body need info about to pull the trigger

Post by cigblues9 »

How heavy are these compared to a stock Legacy. Are the pups as quiet as the Legacy. Are the pups quieter than the Custom semi hollow body. I heard some distorted sounds on utube. What about strat sounds? What does a semi hollow custom weigh.

Thanks cig

Hey cig,

Classic S Solid body? I had to look that one up. :searching:
It is a 'T' type guitar with 'S' type PUs. interesting. Don't see those often.

Sorry, I can answer all your questions, but the weight of the woods is a crapshoot. Sometime they are heavy, sometimes they are light. Making it semi-hollow doesn't change anything. The answer is unknown.

Many thanks for your reply. Went with a G&L usa asat special semi hollow. Should be great.

I know this is a late reply, since you have already placed your order for the ASAT Semi-hollow.
As mentioned, body weights can vary even within a specific wood type.

For those interested in the answers to your question regarding pickups, see the ASAT Classic 'S" description in this
post in the G&L Knowledgebase: List of Regular Production ASAT-style guitars (USA).
