possible pickup change in legacy
I just got a tribute series legacy and thought about putting in some aftermarket pickups. I like the sound of the legacy right now but i thought there might be a better alternative for pickups. I want a pure, sparkly sounding clean sound. So my question is, what is your guys' opinion on this subject? Is it worth changing the pickups? Any info would be appreciated.

those are good pups. if you want a really nice clean sound, sparkly, klein makes the jazzy cats, and another way underwound set, and dave allen makes the strat cats that are very nice as well.

Re: possible pickup change in legacy
Two of my Legacys have had the pickups replaced with noise free alternatives.
One has DiMarzio Areas ... 58, 67, and 61 in the bridge. It sounds brighter with less output than a stock Legacy. Great for Buddy Holly / Robert Cray type tones.
The other also has noise free DiMarzios ... Injector neck and bridge with an Area 67 in the middle. It has more output than a stock Legacy with a fatter tone. Excellent for fat rock, blues and also surprisingly very good for clean jazz tones.
For reference neither of them sound as fat and full as a stock S500.
