ASAT S in Naked finish-woodcare ??

Post by thunder100 »

Desr All

I just bought a n G&L 2012 Special Edition ASAT Classic S "Nearly Naked"
Its the ladt missing link in my G&L collection as it can serve as. Real classical Tele but with other tone options as well.

Now I wonder on the care for the guitar

Finish says "Honey Ale Nearly Naked ¢ finish"

As the wood is still quite open, so how to protect the wood from dirt stains and scratches

Thanks for an answer

Roland
The same way as you would with other poly finished G&L's.
I just use a damp (water) cloth and then dry with a dry micro fiber cloth.

Hope this helps.

Its the same stuff as on the necks, so don't worry about accidentally polishing it, the stuff is as tough as nails.

Roland, I think it would be safe to use some of the detailers that are designed for automotive use that do not contain wax. I used a Honda Motorcycle detailer that was great for many years. I currently use a Meguiars product called Quik Detailer. It is great for cleaning and I have used it on guitars for touch up to remove fingerprints after a gig. This product was actually included with several American Deluxe Fenders that I have owned. It does work!-- Darwin
