See the G&L main website USA Guitar Options Page.cigblues9 wrote:I cannot seem to find the the taper of the C-1 neck. Its .8 something to .9 something, and i want to buy a gibson with similar measurements.

Look for the Neck Profile chart.
Also, see Neck width options post in the G&L Knowledgebase: General G&L Questions.
Hope this helps.

Re: neck size standard C-1 on a 2012 legacy
I can't think of a any Gibson guitar that has a profile like my G&L Legacy-bodied guitars.
My closest might be the neck on my 2008 Custom Shop 1960 Plaintop Tobaccoburst VOS Les Paul, a series that Gibson did for Guitar Center. It is slightly beefier than the standard "1960 Slim Taper" necks you will find on many Gibsons, like their current ES-335. And of my eleven Les Pauls, that's the most comfortable LP neck for me, by far.
Remember, though most Gibsons have a 12" radius fingerboard they have a 24.75" scale length with smaller frets, so they are going to feel very different from the G&L #1 with it's 12" radius, 25.5" scale and medium-jumbo frets.
My advice: try before you buy.

Thanks everyone. i did try while on a recent trip to Austin TX. Bill you were right it ain't like a Gibson neck, but it's close enough to my SG Standard. I like both necks. And the G&L legacy is the best strat I've ever played. Quality sure is nice.
