What would YOU do?

Post by wrigman »

OK guy's, here's the deal I have a chance to trade a 2010 Blues Boy in White Blond with a rosewood board and brown pick guard for an ASAT III in chery burst with a white pick guard and maple board with a reverse headstock, that IS in over all very nice condition.(Mine is in almost mint cond.) The ONLY draw back to the III is the frets. They have had a recent level and dress, but they have been taken down to vintage level. I LOVE the stock height of the stock (med. jumbo)frets, so a re fret will be in order as soon as I get back to work. I know that I can replace the Blues Boy as soon as I can start to rebuild the collection.(I have sold all but the blues boy while being out of work) Also when I depress the 12th fret and the last fret, I can see daylight between the strings and frets. Is this guitar so rare that YOU would do the trade, then have the corrective work done or should I just not do the trade? What would YOU do?? :?:

Thanks.
2015 Himalayan blue ASAT Classic blues boy, 2000 Tobacco burst ASAT DELUXE Semi Hollow, 1998 Hunny Burst S-500 with deep V neck, 2005 PRS Soap bar II SE. 2008 Tanglewood TWDLX15 . A CRAP LOAD of pedals and last but not least a SAMAMP VAC 23 v3.

I would not do the trade. Why take on someone else's headaches?

Being out of work is bad enough but if you get rid if the last guitar you enjoy playing only to find out you don't like the other one as much
well, that just add's to your mental health!, I would keep and play what gives me peace of mind...

Thanks for your advice guy's. Just didn't know if this guitar is rare enough to justify the trade. Most likely will keep the B.B.

ASAT IIIs show up occasionally. I've stumbled across two or three in the last year, without going out of my way to look for them.
