Hi all,
Just joined the forum to ask a question about the G&L saddle lock bridge. I'm having a custom hard-tail Mustang type guitar built and I'm thinking about using the saddle lock bridge instead of the traditional Mustang bridge/tremolo and was wondering if it will work with a 7.25" radius. Has anyone else here built a guitar using the saddle lock bridge? It seems like it should be pretty straight forward, but I wanted to make sure before I start the build. Any info would be helpful.

Re: Question about G&L Saddle Lock Bridge
G&L still offers a 7.5" radius option and it used to be standard on most models. The difference between 7.25" and 7.5" i think would be imperceptible, so I can't imagine why this would be an issue.was wondering if it will work with a 7.25" radius.
Good luck with your project--the saddle lock bridge is the best hard tail bridge ever devised IMO.
Perhaps someone here has actually used one in a project similar to yours and can give you more insight as to logistics.

Thanks! I didn't think the .25" would make much of a difference, but I just wanted to double-check to be sure. I was hoping someone here might have used it on a similar project, too. Maybe they'll see this eventually. Thanks for the response.suave eddie wrote:G&L still offers a 7.5" radius option and it used to be standard on most models. +1. The saddle-lock has plenty of room for adjustment to fit whatever radius the fingerboard, it will be finesuave eddie wrote:G&L still offers a 7.5" radius option and it used to be standard on most models. Does anyone have a pic of its underside? I'm curious how much sticks into the guitar's body.

If you go to the gallery, and click on the G&L patents, you will find the drawings for the saddle lock bridge. Even though I don't see any actual measurements, you can get a good idea of the dimensions and see what actually is below the surface.
I can't get the link to post here.
