The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
It looks like I may be getting the S500 I spoke about in a previous post. This is a 96 model with 3 bolt rosewood neck. I am a bit of a fender kid in the past and used to 4 bolt necks so just after a bit of reassurance about the 3 bolt on the s500 ? Also, what size are the frets usually ?? Also the vendor says it is a one piece body, is this the norm for a 96 S500 ?
Sounds like a cool axe - I think you'll be pretty impressed with it.
3-bolt Fenders Vs. 3-bolt G&Ls - NIght & Day difference in overall quality and anyone familiar with G&L guitars would agree...
Some folks can't get past the visuals and prefer 4-bolts. Aside from the current offerings from G&L, my only interest is in 3-bolt models.
The mid 90's G&L's use jumbo fret wire so that may take some getting used to but I think you'll find that guitar (if set up well) plays great.
