Jonc's recent thread linking to an auction for a G-200 got me thinking about how nice one of these would look in my hands I love the shape of these things, it's like an SC-2 with a more womanly bottom.
I'd love to see these reissued, perhaps tarted up a bit with chrome pickup covers and a bound top... anyone else?
Reissue these please!

Sorry Jos! I didn't know that you'd bought it! I'll change the picture...

Mine is prettier with the rear mounted controls. I was just kidding anyway. These G-200 models absolutely sound great. Every time I get one of these Leo-era guitars I am just amazed. Not that the current ones aren't good, but a Broadcaster, SC-series, or G-200 just is a different kind of thing. I'll post pictures when I do the LR in couple of months (I think it's the week of October 1).blargfromouterspace wrote:Sorry Jos! I didn't know that you'd bought it! I'll change the picture...

If the G-200 was re-issued to original specs, I would place an order immediately. If it was close to original specs, I would think about it for a minute and then place the order. I wouldn't need any cosmetic changes to entice me, but they wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker either.

I've never played one, but I love the looks and am really intrigued by the thought of G&L feel and tone in a shorter scale neck. I imagine these must be great for chord melodies and older jazz styles.
