Not that any of my G&L basses need help getting a good tone, but I checked out this demo of MXR's Bass Octave Deluxe pedal anyway. The demo includes what appears to be an ASAT III with a bridge humbucker at about 3:10:

There a few differences from photos I've seen of the Leo-era ASAT III - the shape of the pickguard just below the top of the control plate, and the shape of the humbucker doesn't seem quite right (any thoughts on this, Jos?). It has the Saddle Lock bridge, which as far as I know wasn't used on the Classic III or Classic S models.
The music in this demo isn't my style, but I though the guitar was interesting.
