My brand new G&L S-500!

Post by brendanbates »

Greetings everyone! First time posting here, figure it should be with my new G&L S-500. This guitar is my first "Big Boy Guitar" moving up from my Squier and Epiphone. It is so beautiful, and plays amazingly. So glad to finally be an owner of a G&L!

The pictures are available in an album here: http://imgur.com/a/WmFRu. I ordered it on Jul 2nd, and it came in yesterday, so it was about a 5 week waiting period (not bad at all!). The first look at it, I knew I was in love. The blackburst is an absolutely stunning finish, especially with the natural binding. Overall, an awesome guitar. Enjoy the pictures!

The natural wood binding looks AMAZING on darker colored finishes! Love it so much.

Hah, guessing you are not a fan of the pearloid pickguards. Personally I love it, especially with the black hardware. Every time I open up the case I can't help but stare in awe...

I like the grain, the finish and the binding look great, the pickguard would not be my first choice, and the knobs are downright hideous.

She looks gorgeous, pearl pickguard and all! I've always liked blackburst with natural binding. Congrats on the Big Boy guitar!
