Call For Lunch Reporter for week of June 25-29

Post by Craig »

Hi All,

I will be away on a road trip tomorrow and given that Kodor has not yet
responded to his nomination for LR duties, I am putting out the call for a
volunteer for next week's Lunch Reporting duties and would like it to be
a member who has not done a full week of lunch reports before.

Check out All About the G&LDP Weekly Lunch Reports
and Current Lunch Reporter, please READ THIS FIRST
to learn more about this G&LDP tradition.

And there is a bonus BBE or G&L Stomp Box given to the Lunch Reporter
after performing the LR duties. :alright:

The first one to accept this call by posting a followup to this post
will be next week's Lunch Reporter.

So who will it be?

Although I am a bit reluctant to step up to the mic, I would be honored to pass on some of my first hand knowledge of the beginnings of the company and its founders. Since I am living in Atlanta, I have a three hour jump on California time so I can hopefully make the posts happen at lunch time. Let me know,

Fred,

When we have an "open mike" situation like this it's fine to go ahead and post - no need for approval. Whoever posts first is that day's LR. Guidelines are posted in the LR section of the page, but in general the only conventions are to give a brief bio on your first post, and to include at least one G&L topic and one non-G&L topic. Normally each topic leads to a question to get the discussion going.

By the way, since the G&LDP has a time-out feature built in, it is always a good idea to write lunch reports in a text editor and then paste them into the LR. Many of us have lost work when our connections timed out.

As far as I understood it's not exactly open mike, but Fred is now the lunch reporter for this week, as he did reply first and only. :happy0065:

Ok, I'm not sure if I should report or not. I don't want to step on any toes here. If you would like to hear from me, just let me know Ken. Thanks for the encouragement Darwin and Miles.
