Maxed Bridge Saddles
I was wondering if anyone knows how to raise the action on a G&L Legacy with the saddles already at their max height. I bought this guitar a couple years ago and never messed with the setup until recently when I tried to increase the action to reduce string buzz.

Have you tried shimming the neck a little to change the neck angle? It doesn't take much. There are a bunch of videos and web pages with info on how to do it.

Usually adjusting the tremelo studs ( hex head wrench ) would do the trick.
Is the bridge making contact with the body? (That is usually why someone would compensate by raising the saddles
to the max height.)
...However if the buzz is being caused by a neck tension change (a swing in the weather/ switching to lighter strings/etc.) then adjusting the truss rod might be the answer. Which frets are buzzing?
You might benefit from a fresh set-up ,
here's a good place to start:

If your still having problems, some pictures can be a great help.

yes. the trem studs and the trussrod. but another issue is fret wear. from years of playing the more commonly played frets will be low, making them buzz more. a fret level and dress maybe in order, best done by a professional.

I agree with Elwood and Louis. I assumed the basic set-up was correct. Bad assumption on my part.
