I guess, at first you have to improve your face-work.astutzmann wrote:great job, wish I could play like that!!
Great playing, in fact, if you like it, you can push the like-button on Youtube.

Hey Louis,
Just had a chance to watch the clip.... Very nice stuff! There are a lot of nice lines in there that anyone can learn a thing or two from. Oh, and i also have the foot lift/kick thing when i play! Great minds think a like so they say
Now there must be some kinda back story here.... i can't imagine you just walked into the local shop to try out amps - then a backing track started, and you just happened to have your camera.... Please do tell....

Nice work Mr Brown! I like that little shredding run you put in there. It's the stuff I'll never be able to play well. No, no need to lecture me louis. I've read your previous posts on practice, discipline It is just that I know my limitations. BTW, are you switching between pups at times? I cannot completely make out whether you're adjusting volume or switching.

Re: bluesboy in action
thank you for the kind words guys. this is a competition called battle of the blues. first round. held at gc. there are 30 some backing tracks to choose from, and you select one, play a solo, and that's it. they have this annually, with 25k in cash and about 40-50k in gear top prize money. total of 5 rounds and about 6000 guitar players start out.
jos, i don't remember what i did. but i think i stayed on the bridge pup most of the time, definitely messed with the volume. i just had a lovepedal eternity on, cranked, but it get a great range with just the volume knob.

That was fun to watch, thanks for posting.
The backing tracks are on the GC website at http://gc.guitarcenter.com/battleoftheb ... /index.cfm. If you like to play the blues, I'd recommend downloading a few even if you have no intention to compete. These are good for practicing with, or playing along to for the fun of it.

thank you guys.
timewave, unfortunately winning is not decided on the merits of one's playing alone, rather on how it compares to the others that day. and of course it is very subjective because the judges have their own taste. there was some fine players there, and imo at least 4 of them played better than me. also, this was just the first round, the only thing that matters if one moves on to the next one. winning comes after advancing in 4 rounds, there are about 6000 players starting out.

Wow
here is the improved version, i adjusted the eq and used an expander to get the backing track sounding better and to try to preempt the compression youtube applies to the sound. the one i posted earlier was straight out of the camera with no processing.
