Older USA Saddle Lock Bridge Die Cast?

Hi, i have a 1994 ASAT Special and I was wondering if it is die cast? The reason I ask is because in the George and Leo book, written by George Fullerton, it says on page 153 about the Saddle Lock Bridge:

"In 2001, G&L improved the design by replacing the die- cast units with billet brass-machined saddles, further improving the tone and sustain"

The reason I ask is because when I tap on the saddles, it feels very solid and I think it may actually be brass but not sure.

If they are the stock saddles, they would be the zinc die cast ones.
And, yes, in 2001 G&L switched to billet brass saddles.
