Is Surf Green a G&L color?

Post by willross »

I'm asking because my new Bluesboy SH Double Bound is listed as Surf Green. I've seen pictures and it appears to be Surf Green. He sent me hi-rez photos, but I'll post some when I receive it later this week... It's like a paler Belair Green, but not Himalayan Blue and he has a few Tele's, double bound in the same exact color. I can't wait!

Cheers,

Will

Will, I just checked the guitar builder and the only thing I find is Bel Air Green but maybe it is a special order or have they made it a standard color.-- Darwin

Does it look like this? This is Surf Green. Bel Air Green is gorgeous if that is what it is.-- Darwin

That's the guitar, but the hi-rez picture looks a bit different. Darwin, like that, but a bit darker. The invoice lists Surf Green, but I guess many people get colors & names mixed-up...

Will, I think it is Bel Air and it is absolutely gorgeous especially with the hollow body and double white binding! What a score.-- Darwin

If it is the picture Elwood posted it is Bel Air. AG&B has a Legacy in Bel Air and it is gorgeous. I would like to have an SC-2 in Bel Air. Some times they look darker in photos. -- Darwin

Cool! The tag on the guitar lists it as Sea Foam... Bel Air it is! It'll be a fun summertime player too!

Yes, that is Belair Green, not Surf Green nor Sea Foam Green.

It looks great with the white binding, too!
