Does anyone know if there are additional finishes available for the USA models other than what is on the web site? Is is possible to specify say a Walnut or Mahogany finish?
Thanks

Hi Keith
As you might have discovered too, I have seen walnut stain finishes on Tributes but on Tribute ASAT's but never on a US produced model. I would ask your nearest G&L dealer to inquire. G&L does do special kind of finishes once in a while. Best example I can come up with is that they finished a couple of models recently with the 'Buck Owens', i.e. red, gray, and blue sparkles (see e.g. this Classic at Guitar Adoptions). So ask your dealer.

There are a couple of finishes missing from the G&L web page: Shoreline Gold and Sonic Blue.keith7940236 wrote:Does anyone know if there are additional finishes available for the USA models other than what is on the web site? Is is possible to specify say a Walnut or Mahogany finish?

Also, I've seen a Turquoise Burst test color on a Legacy Special which one of the Northwest
G&L dealers has for sale.
Like Jos said, check with your G&L dealer(s) to express your interest in the finishes you would like.
It's very unlikely that the factory would do a one-off color, but if a dealer were interested in
ordering a batch of guitars (say 5-25) with a new color, they might do them.
Hope this helps.

Re: Guitar Finishes
We can have SONIC BLUE???
That's really, really wonderful.
My next Asat thoughts have changed.
When I was 12 (in 1963) I built a solid bass in school carpentry class, all out of an afrormosia drainboard. Not just thru-neck, but one-piece (neatly dodged the tenon-joint challenge there). Rosewood board. Fixed down with hot hide glue, too, like we lucky kids were taught to use as a matter of course. But I fretted it with toy trainset rails, so it was not so great above the 5th fret (though anywhere above that was real fear of getting lost anyway, at that age).
And when it was done, I took a paintBRUSH and decorated it with what I thought was Sonic Blue. Nothing else would do.
Sonic Blue still evokes youth-magic, of discovering music in a braver yet more tender age.
Sonic Blue headstock face too, white guard.......

Yes, it is now available. Here is a link to a Legacy with a Sonic Blue finish at G&L dealer, ProGuitarShop.com: http://proguitarshop.com/g-l-legacy-9.html.NickHorne wrote:We can have SONIC BLUE???
