Dual Fulcrum Diving?

Post by nascarbean_97 »

So, I was playing some jazz stuff today, and felt like using the trem, then I went for a dive, and it just stops at one point. It's not possible to get the bar all the way down. It doesn't really bug me, but is every Dual Fulcrum like this?

See this post: DF bridge bending range.

And see this post for current setup info: Current Factory setups for DF vibrato G&L guitars.

Hope this helps.

Sounds to me you string block hit the back wall of the spring cavity. What string gauge are you using? Could also be your trem arm happens to be bend upwards a tad. Anyway, Craig's suggested post has a number of options to avoid that problem especially increasing your string gauge, which may cause you to add springs and increases the pitch range.

Hope this helps,

I have 10s in there with 3 springs, so it sits parallel to the body, I'll look for those though.

It can also be the springs-->look how they are hinged to the block.Once one of my outer springs did that too
You can also lubricate where the springs link to the block
