I'm considering picking up a US Legacy. It appears to be in great condition - a little fret sprout, but nothing that my tech can't handle. Judging by everything I've read on the use of aging by serial numbers (the guitar is used and the owner didn't want to take off the neck), the guitar is a '97. The serial number is CL06417. From what I understand, the CL serials were used in '97, the switched to CLF in '98 - am I mistaken? Should I have any concerns about purchasing a model of this age?
Thanks.
Possible buy and serial number question.

You are correct in the age of the guitar. As far as any concerns: no more than for any other purchase. But if the guitar is worth it to you, go for it!B-Nads wrote:I'm considering picking up a US Legacy. It appears to be in great condition - a little fret sprout, but nothing that my tech can't handle.
