s500 knobs help?

s500 knobs help?

i want to do a david gilmour replica strat but the knobs on the s500 ( the guitar im turning into the gilmour replica) dont come in white, or if they do i cant find any. so can i just put on some legacy knobs or even fender strat knobs? basically can i find another white knob and put them on?

I seem to remember that the pot shaft diameters are different on the Legacy and S500.

Could be wrong though.

so i couldnt get legacy knobs on a s500?

My Legacys have split shaft splined pot and the knobs slip on. The S-500 has a smooth shaft with set screw knobs.-- Darwin

you'll have to change the pots to be able to use strat style knobs. you could ask the factory to see if they would do it, but if not, it's easy enough to do yourself.
