I'm looking at a 93 Legacy. I don't recognize the pickups from the pics, here is the info the guy gave me:
"The pickups they were using at the time were Barcus Berry. They also have Adder pickup inhancers. It's like having an extra couple windings. They are heald by double sided tape. They do help a little."
Anyone heard of these? I can't find them online anywhere....
Thanks

John,
I believe G&L used Seymour Duncan pickups in the early Legacy models, before they started producing the Legacy pickups in-house.

Can you post a photo of this guitar? I think the seller are a bit confused about the pickups thatJohnR wrote:I'm looking at a 93 Legacy. I don't recognize the pickups from the pics, here is the info the guy gave me:

the factory used for this guitar. Barcus Berry pickups are used for acoustic applications.
See: http://barcusberry.com/products.cfm. I think the seller may think that BBE Sound is the same as Barcus Berry.
I have no idea what Adder pickup inhancers (enhancers?) are.
Like KenC said, the G&L factory used Seymour Duncan SSL Vintage (flats) pickups in the early versions of the Legacy,
from 1992-1994. See: List of pickups used in G&L guitars.
Hope this helps.

I don't recognize those pickups, but I can tell they are not the stock factory pickups!JohnR wrote:Ya, that's the same thing I found...

It is a cool guitar though, having the Crickets signatures on the pickguard.
