S-500 havin' problems
So whenever go distortion on the bad boy i get this obnoxious buzz, humbucking or not. And i tried with a different guitar, no buzz, same setting... but no buzz. So i'm wondering what could be wrong?

Is there any even a slight amount of that "buzz" present when playing the guitar with clean settings?
Are you using a pedal to get the distortion?
Is the other guitar a single coil guitar?
Describe the other guitar.
Assuming there is a wiring / shielding / grounding problem with the S-500 what in the environment is aggravating it, (computer, lights, etc.)?
Is it a consistent buzz or does it respond to something?
...just attempting to draw out more information.

As Michael said, we need more information.
In the meantime, check out the various posts in the G&L Knowledgebase. There may be one or two which cover the problems you are having.
Hope this helps.

Re: S-500 havin' problems
the important part is to determine whether it is a 60 cycle hum or rfi that is causing the noise. once you know that, the solution will be more apparent.
