Post by twangster2 »

So I ordered my first G&L.

Two tone burst, double bound (White) body.

Vintage tint maple neck.

Vintage C with vintage frets.

Neck pickup cover black

Tortus shell pickguard.

Can't wait. Was told about a 12 week wait time.

What made you decide on the Classic Custom?

I ask because I'm thinking of this or the ASAT Special for my next guitar.

Sure I can tell you why I chose the classic custom.

Traditional Tele bridge..

And a usable neck pickup...

I find the neck pickup on the Classic very "usable"........I probably use it more than the other two positions.
Obviously the large MFD has a different voice than the smaller ones. It's a matter of preference. All of the ASAT offerings have great sounds on all positions.

I must agree it's a bad**s guitar, the overwound neck pickup is awesome.
Don't forget to tinker with the pickup height though.

The hardest part is the wait :D
