Large MFD pickups question

Post by lclyman »

Hi,
I have the opportunity to buy a used set of ASAT original large MFD Pickups taken out of an 1986 ASAT..

Are there any differences between these and the current versions of this pickup...?

I recently played an SC2 with these pickups and loved them, so I'm thinking of using these older ones in a build..

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are differences.

See these posts in G&L Knowledgebase, General G&L Questions:

pre-BBE ASAT vs. '07 ASAT Special: Differences?

Hope this helps.

I saw that ad, too. I think the guy is nuts for selling them, as he still appears to own the guitar they came out of.
