Having spent a number of years in Norman, how could I refuse you. Is Ernies on campus corner still going?
I swear this is the only forum that whenever you wander off, somebody will grab ya by the scruff of the neck and pull you back in.

Not familiar w/ an "Ernie's," but I've only been here sine 2003. Wife's been here since '99, so maybe she knows?zombywoof wrote:Having spent a number of years in Norman, how could I refuse you. Is Ernies on campus corner still going?

One thing that must surely have been there when you were in town is Campus TV, that funny little hole in the wall on White St. that sells strings and cuts keys. Find something there that they've had since the '70s or '80s and you'll pay the 70s or 80s sticker price, lol.

Don't yall get too worked up.
I think the offical name of Ernie's was the Town Tavern or something. If you got in too early, Ernie would put you to work peeling potatoes.
When I was in Norman there was one small music shop which I can't recall the name of which is odd considering I worked there for a bit.
I know that Honest Ron is still around in OKC. I used to go hang around with him back in the day when he worked out of his garage.
Anyway see everybody Monday.

The oldest-looking store that has actual guitars inside of it (in Norman) is called Norman Music, which might be generic enough for you to have forgotten... Truth be told, OKC is a lot better than Norman for guitar shopping; the only places that really trade in used gear in Norman are pawn shops, of which there's I think 4 in town.
