2006-present G&L Daul Fulcrum Virbrato Bridge

Post by otis66 »

I have a 2000-2001 G&L Legacy That needs a new bridge. There is a lot of play in the trem studs. I looked on the G&L web store and the only bridge available is the NEW bridge that has been used since 2006. Will this bridge fit my 2001 G&L Legacy?

Before trying to replace the bridge, check out this post in the G&L Knowledgebase, G&L Tech Tips: What can I do when my Legacy Trem Won't Stay in Tune?

I'll check with the factory about whether or not you can retrofit a new bridge on your Legacy.

Stay tuned.

I heard back from Chris:
The brass insert anchors for the body will have to be replaced with the new ones & the bridge will work

Thanks,

Hope this helps.

it seems the problem is with the inserts anyway, if there bis a lot of play in the studs. of course that could be remedied with some white plumbers tape easily.

Yep, that's what is suggested in the G&L Tech Tips post I provided above.

Worked great. guitar stays in tune. Studs are secure, no play.
