ASAT Special, doing some country stuff.

ASAT Special, doing some country stuff.

My original composition, a tribute to Albert Lee.
G&L ASAT Special, going to Amplitube 3 and then to Cubase.

Hey Joe! Great playing! Very enjoyable. What's your setup on Amplitube 3? I love your tone and I'd love to try getting something like it.

.

I was going to start a thread on hybrid and chicken picking yesterday. I did not see this thread until now Friday afternoon. That is a very fine tone from Amplitube and you play those riffs well.

Amplitude is awesome for recording. The tone you get when outpouring to an amp or sound system is colored by whatever you're using but the recorded tone I've gotten out of it sounds very convincing.

Thanks guys!
CGT, I'm looking at the amplitude settings right now and it goes: American tube clean 1 - pre model, Metal clean T- EQ with bass-2,middle-8,treble-7,presence-9 with volume on 4. The cabinet -4x10 open vintage
The other plugins are the reverb from the cubase ( REVerence, just a little) and the Softtube fet compressor with the ratio 4:1.
I've tried my old Dynacomp, but this one sounded better in this situation.

Joe -

Thank you and Welcome!

Listening to your composition helped me to realize that just because Leo sold his company to CBS in the mid-sixties did not at all mean that he was done perfecting what he once called the Telecaster.

Though the music you play so well is not what I usually seek out for my personal comfort, it represents some of what makes this country uniquely great and I really enjoyed it - maybe more-so because of the change-of-pace and enlightenment for me.

Hearing you makes me wonder how great other great Tele players might have sounded or would sound with an ASAT in hand.

Anyhow, hope you take a load off and stick around. I bet I'm not the only one who would like to hear more. Besides, you might have less hair than me! ;+) - ed

Finger pickin' is SO over my head! Good job, don't know how anyone can play this type of stuff.
