Incoming . . .

Post by Ches »

Hey campers . . .
I used to own this several years ago and got a case of Boomerang GAS when I found out it was available. It's an ASAT Special Semi-Hollow (no f-hole) with an ebony board. Light weight, nice sized neck, and a great top. It changed hands twice, but it's coming back home. I haven't seen it in about 6 years, so I'm looking forward to Thursday. As I recall, it was a great playing, great sounding instrument. Might have to gig it Saturday!

This picture was a joint effort by a couple of us on the GbL for a calendar we wanted to put together. Unfortunately, the calendar never happened.

Thanks, Jos. I was thinking about picking up something with P90's, but I'd rather have this ASAT. The timing worked out great, and I'm glad to get it back!

I'll probably start checking in a bit more often, but I'm not as active on the forums as I used to be.

Very nice indeed! Better hang on to her this time. It's kind of your 2nd chance. There might not be a third. LOL!

Ches, I don't blame you for buying that one back. I am limited by room and do not want to keep guitars in the closet. I have traded some that I would have preferred to keep. I will probably experience the same thing as I currently see some that I have owned for sale. I could very well own my Bluesboy Bigsby again. The only issue I had with it was the weight. Its looker value probably outweighs the weight issue by a bunch and if it isn't sold soon, it is going to come back. No one has ever said this was easy. Great looking guitar!-- Darwin

If you're looking to 'something with P-90', beyond the Gibson LP's, SG's, Jr.'s and Specials, Collings, Epi's, etc. with P-90's, try to find a Korina ASAT Junior II if you can and play one. The Jr. II I just got is very impressive and, for someone like me preferring the ASAT/Tele scale, feels like an old friend.

This ASAT will have to satisfy my 'hot single coil' jones for the time being. I've got a lot of things taking a piece of my wallet at the moment!

I do remember that one and hope it still looks as good as it did when you first got it.

Definitely don't let that one get away again!

Enjoy ... again.

Hey Craig -
I hope so, too! Fortunately, I know the two guys who owned it and they both take good care of their gear. I'll definitely keep this one close going forward!
