I have doubts that the finish is nitro since all factory built George Fullterton Signature models had Poly finish. They were discontinued in 2007.
The Rustic models (Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish) were first released in 2009.

You've got a great looking GF signature model. That Blonde finish is one of my favorite solid colors from G&L.

Thanks for the info....I was guessing it was nitro because it looks closest to the the current finish on the Legacy Rustic that is nitro blonde. Of course, I didn't know the history.

Yes, Tortoise Shell and White Pearloid are a problem for Louis.
I have the same thing with Tobacco Sunburst. My first electric guitar (almost 40 years ago) was a Hondo in Tobacco Sunburst. Man, that thing was really unplayable. But that was all I could afford at the time, and I played it for years. That color still brings back bad feelings. Recently I bought as Tobacco Sunburst Z-3, because it's a great guitar in every way, and I thought I would grow over it, but I still don't like it.

I never would have imagined removing the pickguard from an S type guitar would make it look so much like a Gibson 335 type.

I'm not a big pick guard fan but I thick this looks great with the rosewood and TS. I'm thinking maybe some creme pickup covers and knobs might look hot.
