The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Where have I seen these? ASAT special w/3 pickups

Post by crfowler »

I know I've seen these around somewhere pretty recently and now I can't track them down - anyone able to steer me in the right direction?

TIA!

This is probably what your are referring to: [from our post: List of Special Edition & Non-Production ASAT-style guitars in the G&L Knowledgebase]:
ASAT S-3 Special Build This is a series of 3 pickup ASAT Specials that were created by one of G&L's dealers, Midlothian School of Music, which they are calling the ASAT 3.
The model was known as ASAT S-3. Essentially an ASAT Special with the neck and bridge wound with the same polarity and the middle pickup reverse wound. Midlothian took it
further with the push/pull pickup expander which gives you the neck+bridge combo or all three pickups together. Each of the guitars in this series are different colors and were
built in May 2011.

Hope this helps.
