I Need a Metal Flake Orange Will Ray Sig
I want to get a USA Hollow Metal Flake Orange WR, but so far haven't seen one anyplace. I'd rather buy used as I have a few Vet bills left to pay, but if I can get a good enough deal on a new one I may consider it.
Has anyone even Seen one ?

WR's are great; I enjoy my silver one lots, really works well and the mojo / deco vibe is fun. And it's a really well-sorted piece of kit, a big gun.
Plus I feel fine wearing it at 60 years old.
Damn I'd love an Orange too.

I'm quite certain I saw a picture of Will playing one a while back but can't remember where I saw it.
You might email Will (aka helle-man) and ask him if he has a picture of one and if he knows of one for sale.
If you do email him, tell him hi for me. BTW, Will hangs around these parts, but mostly in lurk mode
these days. Hey Will, if you are out there, de-cloak and help Chris out, will ya?
Hope this helps.

I checked the G&L Registry for Orange Metal Flake finish and found 6 instruments with this finish: two WR signature models,Craig wrote:ChrisPcritter wrote:I want to get a USA Hollow Metal Flake Orange WR, but so far haven't seen one anyplace. one ASAT Classic "S" Special Build, two Legacys and an ASAT JD-5. I'm still looking for a photo of the WR OMF finish.
If I find it, I'll will post it.

Re: I Need a Metal Flake Orange Will Ray Sig
Thanks...
Yeah, I thought about contacting Will.. He actually chimed in when I was asking what bender guitar to get. I already have the Silver and the Turquoise so maybe "need" is a little strong a word but I'm sure my wife would really like it if I got an orange one.
Actually my Turquoise one has been on loan to Doug Doppler for a while so really I only have the one here and I want to put my new B G and drop D hipshot on it so I have to have a backup before I take it out of commission.. (Can't be without it.. )
My #1 WR

I didn't find the picture of Will playing an OMF WR, but I did find some of this Legacy:

Well, their current inventory list includes this:meowmix wrote:From http://www.experiencedmusicalinstruments.com
I am just posting the pic. I believe this one is NFS.
G&L Will Ray Signature ASAT Orange Sparkle 1 of 3 made w/case 1295 $ 3,500.00
They seem to be under the impression that no more will be made in that finish.
Guess they forgot to check the G&L website, because Orange Metal Flake is one the color choices.
For that price (used) you could buy two new WR Signature models from a G&L dealer, even if you paid MAP price!
Maybe keep one and sell the other one to experiencedmusicalinstruments.com as "another of the 3 made".
Thanks for posting the photo ... it does exist!

Hope Duncan is doing fine!
The orange WR looks drinkable, with benignly psychedelic consequences.
My Mrs is going to be giving me such a tough time if I don't get one too.....

Re: I Need a Metal Flake Orange Will Ray Sig
Thanks,
Duncan is good for now..
He had thyroid condition which was managed but he got huge (130 lbs)
HE got diabetes and we didn't know it I thought my tanacity on walks and meds were helping him but he was loosing weight because he wasn't eating, he finally had to have a feeding tube put in and they sent him home and called me two days later talking about "quality of Life" I stopped their hi volume 4x a day feeding schedule and went to feeding him a small amount through the tube every twenty minutes and got him well only to find that 50% of dogs with diabetes go blind within the first year from cateracts.
So another $3k for eye operations. and the day before thanksgiving had a stroke..
He's recovering well but all you can do for a stroke in a dog is aspirin therapy..
He's always happy and loves to go on walks even though he has trouble if I try to take
him more than about a quarter mile... He's a Choclate lab, we still have his mom and dad and one brother that's my daughters'.. (Chewbacca)
anyways if I can play enough shows this year to pay off the vet I'll get the next WR..

Re: I Need a Metal Flake Orange Will Ray Sig
Chris, I just caught up on this post and am sorry for the dog issues. I can relate because we went through this 5 years ago with our Yorkie. He became very ill and after several days they discovered diabetes. We chose to treat it and he was on insulin (2 shots a day) for 4 years until we had to put him down because of cancer. He did not go blind and was a very happy dog up until the end. We were watching him to see if his vision was okay and he never did lose his vision. So it is a decision that worked very well in our situation and Ii hope that it works out for your family. They are really part of the family.-- Darwin

Re: I Need a Metal Flake Orange Will Ray Sig
Yes, I agree... and thanks, he is doing well and I had a family member standing in my living room telling me what a waste of money it was... I pointed to my right at the two guitar racks I have each with 15+ guitars on them and said if I have to sell a few to keep my friend alive and happy it will make me happy so I'd say it's not a waste.. It's sad to me when a person has more value in an object than a pet... thanks..
I want an orange WR to play out as I get a lot of response with the silver and touquoise ones...
