I recently bought 2 NOS pickguards for my ASAT Classic Bluesboy, built in 2006.
But they both do not match. At the Neck and Pickup it seems to fit, but it doesn't at the bridge, control plate and the holes for the screws.
I didn't remove the curren pickguard yet, just tried to lay the new ones over, but they clearly will not fit.
So I'll try to get a right one and for that I'd need to know, when exactly there was a change.
One thing I can do now, which I couldn't before. I can create a drawing of the pickguard as it should be, with the help of the installed and one of the newly boughts. As at the installed a little bit is missing near the neck. With that drawing, it would be possible to get a pickguard made.
But I'd need to get rid of the wrong ones, or just buy another bluesboy for them.
So I should better know on which Bluesboys they will fit.

Re: Pickguard for ASAT Classic Bluesboy
Definitely need more information regarding these NOS pickguards:
USA or Tribute?
Where did they come from?
From the G&L factory via a dealer/distributor?
Or from Chandler (G&L supplier)?
Or ?
Here's a picture of a stock ASAT Classic BluesBoy Semi-Hollow:
Here's a picture of a stock Tribute ASAT Classic BluesBoy Semi-Hollow:
I see some differences between them which might account for differences you are seeing.

Re: Pickguard for ASAT Classic Bluesboy
It's an USA made Bluesboy, that one: http://i.wuell.net/gallery/view_photo.p ... Classic_BB
I got it from a Dealer via EBay, he had also a lot of NOS F-100, G-200 Pickups. I got just one.
On the back side of these pickguards, there are ink stamped numbers. The cream one has 60363541 and on the black pearl, there's barely visible: 60361520
I tried again and found out, that not even the pickup position is the same. The hole for the pickup is too far on the left side, as you may see in the picture.
As mentioned earlier, that new ones seem to be made for a wider brigde too, and the spare out for the control plate is slightly on other position. The holes do all not match anyway.

I am not aware of any changes to the BluesBoy which would affect the pickguard.Miles Smiles wrote:It's an USA made Bluesboy, that one: http://i.wuell.net/gallery/view_photo.p ... Classic_BB

I suggest checking with this dealer (what's the dealer's name?) and ask what the return policy is.
I checked Chandler's website (supplier for G&L) and the ASAT Bluesboy pickguard pattern number is 60262 and they
require a tracing of the original pickguard. If those two numbers you mention above are Chandler numbers, then they
both are the wrong pattern number for a G&L ASAT Bluesboy.
I recommend ordering direct from Chandler.
BTW, that link you provided above, did not work for me. I got this error:

Re: Pickguard for ASAT Classic Bluesboy
.
The supplier to G&L, Chandler, explained that some guitars have more than one pickguard so a tracing must be supplied. I was looking for an ASAT Classic pickguard. You would think that by now they would have received so many tracings they would not need one with every order but there are 4 different pickguards just for the basic ASAT Classic. Even though their website only shows one number for all Classics there is a different number for each of the four Classic pickguards and it should be on the back of the pickguard according to Chandler. If it isn't on the backside you have to supply a tracing. This is the USA ASAT Classic I am speaking of not including the Tribute.

Re: Pickguard for ASAT Classic Bluesboy
I ordered several pickguards from chandler for my bluesboy and my legacy. Legacy was no issue, go ahead and pick the type. On the bluesboy, they required a tracing....it was a bit of a pain but glad I did it because its perfect.

Got it wrong, the right URL is: http://i.wuell.net/gallery/view_album.p ... Classic_BBCraig wrote:Error: Requested index [0] out of bounds [25]

So it seems, I will have to create a tracing.
Mine I got through an auction, so no returns possible and shipping would be have over the world again anyway.
I maybe put them back on Ebay for Telecaster projects or something like this.
Thanks for all help.
