Just bought a G&L 30th Ann. Legacy on ebay at a killer price. My guess is the guitar was in the shop for a while and they are just trying to move it out.
I've needed a replacement for my '04 Highway One strat for a while now and was planning on purchasing another on EBAY. This was my favorite player in my collection and figured I should probably just go with what I know I like. Then I remembered G&L and discovered the 30th anniv. legacy online. Having always wanted a strat with an ebony fingerboard I kept my eye on one. AND longer story long I ended up snatching one at a killer price. I hope to have it in a week or so and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Always nervous buying a guitar I haven't touched.
I'm stoked and just wanted to share. This will be my first G&L. I will be back to post my thoughts after she arrives.

The 30 Th Aniv models are killers. Fron the pearl paint to the pearl tuner knobs and matching headstock they are a class act. One of the best ever from G&L-- Darwin

Re: New 30th Anniv. Legacy
Well, I thought I posted a reply but it's not showing up. I'll try again.
Thanks, for the replies! I really cannot wait to plug this baby in. I will definitely post some pics as soon as she arrives.
I did want to ask about the PLEK factory set-up. I typically play with 11's and know that the G&L's ship from the factory with 10's. My questions is: Can I do a normal set-up on a PLEK'd guitar? Are there any guidelines I should follow specific to a plek'd guitar? Thanks in advance. I just want to make sure I get this baby playing to her full potential when she arrives.
Also, any 30th ann. Legacy owners care to talk about how much they dig theirs? I'm very intrested in the Ebony fretboard. I grew up playing a Les Paul Custom which is where I found my love for ebony. Then I discovered that my hands prefer the longer strat length. So I'm thinking this Legacy is going to be the best of both worlds for me.
Thanks again guys. Can't wait to be an official member of the G&L community.

Hi bword,
Congrats on the Legacy. You will enjoy it.
As for the plek'd neck, that should make doing a set up easier, but you will still have to make some adjustments. It's just that the frets should not need attention.

i find that a lot of plekked frets still can use a nice polishing. also checking the frets if they are level is still important, wood is a dynamic medium, stuff moves, this is a year old guitar.guitar_ed wrote:Hi bword,
