Hi all, if I may introduce myself as SteveThomas i live in the UK and have recently aquired a SC-3 serial number G020488, in Black, not the mustang body..this is a guitar i have been lusting after for many years and has been owned by a very good friend of mine who always said he would leave it to me in his will, but hey he is having a tough time so manged a deal to keep it in the family..as you do between friends. . I have owned and played everything with 6 strings over these last 40 years but now feel I have my holy grail of playability and sound. Being new to this site i am looking for some info on this model, how many were made, all i can find is birthdate of 1987,can anyone point me in the right direction.
Regards
to all

Re: G&L SC-3
Hi Steve,
Perhaps you can post a photo of your SC-3. See Tutorial: Posting photos.
There were three versions of the SC-3:
Yours should have the Strat-style body without a pickguard.
Check our Gallery for photos in the Album: Instruments and we do have an ad slick for the 1987 SC-3 in the Album: Ad Slicks and Memorabilia.
For more info on the various SC-3's, check out Greg Gagliano's G&L webpages.
Hope this helps.
