Hey there, I'm a recent G&L owner in San Antonio, TX. Not too long ago I picked up an '82 mahogany body S-500 and it sings. The only problem is that some idiot replaced the bridge pickup with Seymour Duncan Invader that I promptly took out because I couldn't even stand accidentally turning it on by bumping the pickup switch. Right now I'm trying to locate a replacement early style S-500 bridge pickup, but it's starting to feel like looking for a needle in a haystack.
