That looks a lot like his aluminum topped guitar, you sure that one is a fender, doesn't look like it is, looks like a Gigliotti. He has a bunch of the top being aluminum or copper if I recall, ground lines top look like that. Note the logo here

They are very cool, and Joe seems to like em and use them to great prowess (no surprise, about the only modern blues man worth his salt out there).
