Very Late and Desperate LR for Tuesday

Just signed on and noticed that there is no Lunch Report (or even a Dinner Report) for today. This can't be. I have nothing really in mind, other than salvaging some tradition.

Lunch today was a single piece of French Toast left over from my oldest son's 10th birthday yesterday; a solitary slice of leftover mushroom and grilled red pepper pizza, and a single link of sausage. Cold water. Left over (excellent, home-made) carrot (birthday) cake.

This evening's topic is: What is your favorite bridge pickup for crunch time. Heavy stuff I've tried a modest number of pickups in my time, and although I don't currently have one, I LOVE Tom Anderson's H3 humbucker. How about you?

For a more general question: Autumn is in the air. Autumn is probably my favorite season. I love the cooler air. I love the colors. I love looking forward to winter (which I'm liking a bit less as I get older). If you have a favorite Autumn memory, consider sharing it here and now.

Ed, I just signed on myself a few minutes ago and no LR. Thanks for saving the day. Lunch was leftover Pizza. I have enough leftovers to carry me until Ginny gets home Thursday.

I am not a cruncher but my F-100 has nice HB's. The Hb's in my PRS Johnny Hiland are also very nice had have a wide range but cannot attest to the crunch value of either.

My son Brian was here tonight for dinner. He went home with a sweet guitar. I am finally down to 2 guitars in the closet, both waiting for project completion. He went home with a pristine Fender Aerodyne Tele. He will now be sharpening up on guitar. My son is not a young un like yourn. Have a great evening. I think it is happy hour somewhere! -- Darwin

Lunch: Leftover burrito kit with tortillas, chilli beef, melted cheese, avocado. Washed down with a cup of tea.

Crunchy Stuff: The Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge position of my S-500 does some awesome crunch. The big MFD's in an ASAT Special can also do passable crunch with the tone dialled back a bit. I babysat my sister-in-law's US Strat while she was travelling a few months back. It had a full size SD JB humbucker in the bridge position that sounded magnificent. Instant Angus Young.

Seasons: I'm an autumn and winter fan. April and May are the best months of the year in southern Australia IMHO. Summer in Melbourne is too hot generally and spring is all over the place - hot, cold, windy, rainy, hot again. All the spring blooms are out at the moment but are being blown to kingdom come by some unseasonally stormy weather.

I gotta say I also enjoy Autumn the most. The harvest is in, NFL has begun, Mlb playoffs, and we usually have a bunch of gigs including our Halloween show, good times...
