Legacy Pickguard Change

Post by astutzmann »

I love my 2009 Vintage White legacy, but it has white pick guard and covers and knobs. We all know Vintage white is not white so I didn't love it.

To me, Vintage White is like Banana Pudding, so I decided to change the pick guard. I bought a cream one which perfectly matches the color of the guitar but (no offense to anyone with vintage white and cream) it didn't do it for me either. I also bought a tourtise shell one with cream covers and knobs.

Here's the transformation I did this morning,

I think its much better, stunning. Picture does not do it justice. Am on the hunt for different knobs, ha saw some red dice ones, lol.

Fun stuff,

Alf

Looks nice, Alf!

However, I have to say I kind of like the white on Vintage White! Though I agree that cream on Vintage White probably isn't that great!

Hi Darwin:

Yup, your's looks great, you know why? Rosewood fretboard makes it, not the same on maple.
