Will a 4 bolt neck fit on an older 3 bolt body?

I have a old Mahogany 3 bolt body and I would like to know if the 4 bolt necks will fit? I know there are the lower price point models, will these necks fit as well?
Right now I just want to get this guitar together so I can play it so I can take some time and find a neck that I am happy with.

No, they have very different neck pockets.

You could try to talk to a company like soulmate guitars, they make custom necks and might be willing to do it, for a price ofcourse.

If you can be patient, watch eBay. G&L necks come up every so often.

Or, if you want to sell your body, I'd be interested in it. I'm looking for an older three-bolt body as I found a great neck, and now I need a body to complete the project.
