converting Legacy (SSS) to one humbucker

Post by 13bustg »

Hi!
I'd like to mod my Legacy and make it a one humbucker guitar. How do I wire the guitar? I want to keep the PTB system.
I am able change pickups on my guitars, but thats it with my tech skills.
Best regards

Check the Album: Instrument Manuals and Wiring Schematics in our Gallery.
We have Album: Legacy HB Wiring Schematic and Picture Diagram, which I think should help you.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link!
I'm going to buy a a pickguard from pickguards.us with no cut for a mini switch or pickup selector switch. I'd like to get a Wide Range Humbucker replica with a 2 conductor cable from a German pickup dealer.
I bet it's not complicated. So I have to solder the humbucker to the volume pot?
